Do you recognize the statement, “Cure the cause not the symptom?” It is a sound approach but not always easily achieved. Symptoms are signs that something is wrong. Essential oils do not cure symptoms. However, easing symptoms reduces stress on the overall healing process of dealing with the cause. Causes are much harder to identify and sometimes unchangeable. Treating symptoms can help you feel better while you find and, hopefully, cure the cause. Our customers should understand that we are dealing with treatments and not cures. We use terms like “alleviate”, “reduce”, “treat”, and “improve”. Essential oils do not cure disease.

You design your own products!

Design-in Essential Oils.  Each product you design can have at maximum 10 essential oils included in it.  Too many oils in one product will create the same result as putting too many colors on top of each other when painting when the colors become indistinguishable and dark.

The choice of the emollients is another personal consideration. Real life circumstances play a roll in this decision.  You have the following choices:

Blends and Treatments. You are provided "Best Blends With" information on each Essential Oil Description Page.  There are many decisions you now have to make on your own. However, there are safeguards to assist you and prevent errors.  We restrict the overuse of too many oils in one product.  "Best Blends With" are merely guidelines. There are no “scent” rules.  Remember that the commercialized lines of massage oils, lotions and creams are blended more often, than not, according to the price/marketing index rather than out of consideration for the unique aromatic and curative properties of the Essentials. You cannot make a mistake, so do not fear creativity.

Costing out your product. Venturoma products are available in various sizes. When you have decided on your Oil(s), review the costs, which is listed for your convenience. The Oils listed for a specific Symptom are placed in order, the topmost being the highest recommendation of the experienced aroma therapists. In order to meet your budget requirements, we suggest  that you cross check symptoms to various Oils. You may find a particular Oil beneficial for multiple Symptoms that are of concern to you. Cross connections also, intuitively, infer good blending. Choose Oils based upon Symptoms, and then price them according to your budget and your personal preferences. 

We do not often get identical products to make and that is because we are all different from each other. When we have similar symptoms of concern, inevitably we have different preferences in aromas and different allowances. I am not unilaterally recommending you choose the least expensive or the most expensive oil. That is your decision. I only repeat my recommendation that you always choose according to your symptoms and not your favorite aroma.

Surprisingly, the essential oil of black pepper is nothing like the aroma one associates with the welling up of a sneeze caused by smelling the spice used in cooking. There is a significant difference between the way food or spice sources taste and the way the essential oils of these plants smell. The concentrative intensity reveals the pure “essence” of the aroma. The essential oil of pepper yields a spicy exotic almost mysterious aroma. You will find yourself immediately breathing deeper for a second whiff because it is so delightfully intriguing. More important, the aroma is time proven for relief of arthritis symptoms and treats muscle aches among many other things.

Be experimental and creative. Look first at the treatment of the symptoms. The healing characteristic one needs to assist personal health is very often found in the aroma for which one is absolutely longing.
